About
The Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM) East Coast Line — colloquially the 'Jungle Railway' — is one of Southeast Asia's great train journeys. Starting at Gemas and ending at Tumpat near the Thai border, the 528 km route passes through dense rainforest, limestone karst country, and remote Orang Asli villages. The journey takes around 14 hours and is best experienced on the overnight Ekspres Timuran service, waking to misty valleys as the train descends toward Kelantan.

- ✔ UNESCO Biodiversity – Passes through the Taman Negara buffer zone.
- ✔ Authentic Experience – Remote stations accessible by no other public transport.
- ✔ Overnight Service – Board in KL, wake up in Kelantan.
